MXU Comic (“MXU,” “we,” “us”) is a membership storytelling project — The Adventures of Aeisha & Devyn — with optional paid plans, a member gallery, and optional episode-update emails. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you stay in control. We keep collection minimal and do not sell your personal information.
What we collect
- Account details — email address and a hashed password when you register.
- Membership & billing context — plan selection, access status, and related admin notes. Paid checkout may be handled by a third-party processor (e.g. CCBill or another provider you complete payment with); their privacy policy applies to card data handled on their systems.
- Optional email preference — whether you want notices when new episodes are published (you can change this in your account or via unsubscribe links in those emails).
- Basic technical logs — standard server logs (IP, user agent, timestamps) for security and reliability.
How we use information
- To create and maintain your membership account and deliver gallery access.
- To send password-reset and essential account messages.
- To send optional episode updates only if you opted in.
- To protect the service (abuse prevention, debugging, integrity of paid access).
We do not use your data for third-party advertising profiles, and we do not sell or rent your email list.
Cookies
First-party essential cookies only. We use cookies/session storage needed to keep you signed in, protect forms (CSRF), and operate the membership area. We do not run third-party ad trackers or marketing pixels on the MXU membership experience. Blocking essential cookies may prevent login or checkout from working.
Episode update emails are optional. Every such message includes a way to unsubscribe. You can also turn the preference off in your account settings. Transactional mail (password reset, important account notices) may still be sent when required to operate the service.
Sharing
We share information only as needed to run the service: hosting providers, email delivery on our server, and payment processors for paid plans. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect members and the integrity of the site.
Retention & security
Account data is kept while your account exists and as needed for legitimate operations or legal requirements. Passwords are stored hashed. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; we take reasonable care appropriate to a small membership site.
Your choices
- Update email preferences in your account or via unsubscribe links.
- Request account or data help by replying to a site email or contacting us through the channels published on MXU / Matriarx properties.
Children
MXU is intended for adults. Content may include mild/occasional artistic nudity and mature themes. MXU is intended for adults only. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised policy.
